The concrete steps of our dream in Karabörtlen — where we started and where we're headed.
What We Are Building
Our goal as S.S. Karabörtlen Yapı Kooperatifi is to create a modest, sustainable living space in harmony with nature, within the boundaries of Karabörtlen Village, Muğla.
A unique neighbourhood project where people who know and trust each other build on their own plots, at their own pace, with respect for the natural environment. No profit motive, equal ownership shares, democratic decision-making.
We are committed to building while protecting trees, respecting the soil, and preserving the natural landscape.
Electricity, water, and road infrastructure are in place. Only 300 metres from the zoning area.
About 500 metres from public transport, schools, shops, a health centre, a weekly market, and restaurants.
The cooperative charter and all documents are accessible to members. Accountability is a core value.
Every member has an equal vote. Decisions are made democratically at the general assembly.
In one of Muğla's fastest-appreciating areas, with a protected natural setting offering strong long-term potential.
Our Village: Karabörtlen
Karabörtlen Village, in the Ula district of Muğla — right in the heart of nature, yet close to everything.

Surrounded by pine and oak forests, with clean air and lush greenery — a village truly at one with nature.

Just a short drive from the deep blue waters of Gökova Bay — where the sea meets the mountains.

The quintessential Aegean olive groves give the village a timeless, peaceful character.

About 15–20 minutes away. A shallow sandy beach, the cool Azmak River, and an ideal setting for families.

One of Turkey's most beautiful bays — turquoise, calm waters where mountains meet the sea.

Ice-cold and crystal clear — one of the most popular summer spots. Kayaking, boat tours, and fish restaurants.
Investment
Muğla has consistently ranked among the provinces with the fastest rising land values in recent years.
Akyaka, now a kite-surfing and ecotourism hub, continuously drives up land values in the surrounding area.
With pine forests and the Gökova coastline, buildable plots in this area are extremely scarce.
The municipality has run a water main to Karabörtlen, significantly boosting the area's infrastructure value.
